Weeping Japanesse Maple tree in Australia Garden.
Features leaves with seven to nine deeply divided lobes, each serrated, crating a lacy effect. The colour parade begins with deep red on the growing tips, then turns to a dark coppery-burgundy in spring before fading to a bronze-green throughout summer. The autumn colour is a brilliant orange. Compact, weeping habit. Suitable for small gardens.
If you would plant this Weeping Maple (Tree) winter time is the best to plant it. Maple tree is bit expensive though, 1 - 1,5 meters high around 150 bucks. But yea, this Maple tree is so wonderful colour, kind of red/ orange & green colour. You will get what you pay for!
It was difficult to find this Maple tree even in Bunnings Warehouse. It is quiet rare, that's why expensive hehe
Easy to look after, just make sure enough fertilise when start planting this beautiful Maple tree so it will grow so well. Apply a complete fertilizer to the cultivated area after planting, keeping it away from the roots and the tree. When young, will benefit from an application of a complete fertilizer each spring.
Maple tree can stay in cool temperature to warm temperature.
Prepare soil which tolerates a wide range of soil types. Prefers a moist, well drained, slightly acid soil. Sensitive to drought and hot winds.
Suggestion planting : cultivate well-drained soil thoroughly before planting. Don't dig into clay, instead build up site with top soil.
Planting a bar-rooted tree : trim off broken roots. Wet roots and place in hole (no deeper than soil line on tree). Pack soil around roots firmly. Make a depression in soil around tree, soak with water to remove air pockets.
Planting a containerized tree : remove Maple tree from pot and "tease" out the roots slightly before placing in hole. Backfill with soil and water as above.
Maple tree culture prefers partial shade, but will tolerate full sun. Easily transplanted. The only pruning required is to cut out any broken branches. Water often until well established. Should be given a deep soaking when dry.
